About Us

A visit to Vanilla House in Coorparoo, Brisbane is definitely a feast for the senses.  A much loved shopping destination for the local community, our beautiful store has been providing gifts, homewares, furniture, fashion and accessories for the past 14 years.

With an emphasis on support local Queensland artisans and providores, our philosophy is to showcase unique products and practices we know you will love to give and desperately hope to receive.

We are family business with myself, Jill, Chief Everything Officer (CEO) at the helm, Domenica, my step-daughter is my right hand helper in the store and behind the scenes the fun really begins.  Sister, son, daughter and a very handy (and handsome) husband are all on deck to make the wheels turn without a squeak.

The perfect drop-in location, grab a friend, have a coffee or lunch from the neighbouring restaurants and have a browse in the our store.

We love our store and can't wait to share our passion with you.

Vanilla House is an institution in Coorparoo, located next to restaurants - Cream and Flute at 380 Cavendish Road, with on-site parking. We are MUST visit location after enjoying a beautiful meal or coffee and cake in the restaurants.  Our beautiful store has been providing beautiful gifts, homewares, furniture, fashion and accessories to our customers for over 14 years.  We have a passion for unique gifts, original art and collectables to suit a range of budgets.  Our philosophy is to support local Queensland artisans and showcase beautiful items that are not mass-produced. While we are boutique – we make a point of not charging boutique prices.

We have an extensive and eclectic range of homewares includes beautiful cushions, lamps, books, napery, candles, body products and we specialise in providing surprises for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family!  We pride ourselves in providing carefully selected fashion, that is not found everywhere.

We are a family business run by Jill and ably assisted by her step-daughter Domenica, but also helped by her sister Val,  son Sam (IT), daughter Daisy (Social media) and last but by no means least, by her husband Paul who provides moral support, handy man activities and window cleaning.
